December Newsletter
November was a month of Thanksgiving. We gave thanks to our Veterans during our Veterans Day Program. We were fortunate to celebrate this year with many of our own Veterans.
Our Western Disco Gala was well attended this year. A good time was had by all. We are thankful for our many supporters and donors that made this year a success.
Our Pow-Wow was very moving as our students gave thanks to all in attendance. We are so grateful for our families and friends that show up to support our students.
December will be filled with many happenings as we prepare for the upcoming Holidays. Make sure to check the calendar below for all the events of the month.

Christmas at the College
Our students will be performing at the College on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Our time is 6:10. Please meet at 5:30 and wear a Red shirt/dress.
We hope to see everyone there for a great family event sponsored by Southwest Texas College.
Christmas At The Crossroads
St. Philip's will be participating in the Lighted Christmas Parade on December 6, 2024.
Students that participate MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Check Class Dojo events for more information.
We look forward to seeing many of our students and parents at this festive event.
Christmas Program
St. Philip's Pre-K - 5th Grade will be performing their Christmas Program at the Opera House on December 16th at 6 PM. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Christmas Break
We will observe our Christmas Break from December 23 - January 3, 2025. Staff will return on January 6th for a Professional Development Day and students return on January 7th. Enjoy your holiday! Merry Christmas!
November Highlights
2K Class - Mrs. Barboza
3K Class - Mrs. Ramos
Our 3K enjoyed preparing for our Thanksgiving program. Student also shared what they where thankful for.
Pre-K - Mrs. Cantu
In Pre-K we are learning sight words and writing them. We are also identifying upper and lower case letters.
Kinder - Ms. Ayala
1st Grade - Mrs. Pollard
Students were excited to receive six-week honors at the awards chapel. They received awards for A and AB Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance.
2nd/3rd Grade - Mrs. Ybarra
Second and third grade students dressed as Native Americans, Pilgrims, and fall like colors for our Thanksgiving program. Students did a GREAT job memorizing their lines to say , and singing , What are you Thankful for?
4th/5th Grade - Mr. Jasso
4th and 5th grade recited Red Skelton's "Meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance" during our Veterans Day Program.
