Are You Okay? Webinars for Library Staff Wellbeing
At OLIS, we have been hearing from library staff that they feel overwhelmed and exhausted, while facing an increase in challenging behavior from patrons, who - let's face it - probably also feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Here are a few webinars to help you begin addressing these issues; we recommend watching together with your library co-workers and discussing what you see.
Taking Care of Self, Staff and Community (March 10)
This WebJunction live webinar will explore ideas for expanding core self-care practices to encompass connections with work colleagues and more broadly with community members.
We are NOT Okay: Library Worker Trauma Before and During COVID-19 and What Happens After (InfoPeople)
Over 3,000 people signed up for this webinar that was geared toward all library workers to explore the impact trauma has on library staff. InfoPeople also shared an excellent list of accompanying resources for further learning.
