Sawnee Elementary
August 2024
A Note from Mrs. Davis
Dear Sawnee Families,
These two days have been an incredible start to the 2024-2025 school year. Thank you to everyone for such a smooth beginning. It has been fun to see all of the familiar and new faces. If you haven't done so already, be sure to follow us on Facebook and bookmark our website to stay in touch with what is happening at Sawnee.
We appreciate you understanding how important routines and procedures are at the beginning of the year. After Labor Day, we can't wait to see your faces in our buildings as you eat lunch with your students or volunteer. There will be lots of opportunities for you to participate in all things Sawnee. Our PTO is always looking for volunteers too. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact one of our board members. More information from PTO can be found in the PTO section of this newsletter or on social media. If you have a small business, or your company is interested in partnering with us, please reach out to our PTO to become a Partner In Education. We will also be looking for vendors for our Fall Festival on November 9th.
We look forward to seeing you on August 13th for Curriculum Night. Teachers will be giving you more insight into the ins and outs of what we are teaching in each grade level. There are two sessions for those families who have students in multiple grades. Both sessions will cover the same information.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to give feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. It is a pleasure to work with all of our families.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Davis
Principal
