Dear MacArthur School Family,

As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the wonderful students, families, and staff who make our school community so special. This time of year, is a reminder of the importance of kindness, generosity, and being thankful for the little things in life.

I am thankful for the hard work and dedication of our students, the support of our parents, and the passion of our teachers and staff. Together, we create a warm and welcoming environment where everyone can thrive.

The first Friday of each month, beginning Friday, December 6th, your child will have the opportunity to purchase a bag of fresh popped popcorn for $1. The proceeds from the sales will go back to support the Best Buddies program here at MacArthur Elementary!

The students in the Best Buddies program are excited to have the support of the Student Council this year! Together these students will strengthen their social skills and interpersonal relationships while learning vocational skills, business, and money management.

*Fridays are subject to change due to holidays, field trips, etc.

Mrs. Santaguida took our fifth graders on a music field trip for a sneak peek of the Fall Musical, Matilda, presented by the CPHS Theatre Department. From the costumes, set design, singing, and performance-our fifth graders gave Matilda TWO THUMBS UP!

Tickets are still available for this weekends performances!

The CPHS Theatre Department is proud to present the fall musical, Matilda. Shows will be on the following dates:

• November 22, 23 | 7:00 pm
• November 24 | 2:00 pm

CPHS Theatre

Strack & Van Til helps local schools by providing FREE classroom supplies. All you have to do is collect your receipts from Strack & Van Til and send them in an envelope to the school office with ATTN PTO on them. Receipts need to be dated from September 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025. Receipts are due by April 15, 2025.

Ask your family and friends to save their receipts, too! Every dollar spent earns a point towards FREE classroom supplies.

Birthday ice cream treats are $1.00 each. Money can be uploaded via the Mealtime app or cash/check sent to the cafeteria. Treats are paid for the day the money is received. A 1 week notice is needed to order the treats.
