Our Upcoming Launch Schedule!

Monday - Thursday:

  • Students wear Borman uniforms each day, clean and ready for learning.
  • Doors open at 7:15 AM for all students.
  • Click here for the Uniform Policy.
  • Borman Elementary has Universal FREE Breakfast for every student!
  • If your child is absent, please submit an attendance note to make sure the absence is excused. Absence Attendance Form
  • If your child arrives after 7:40 AM they will be marked "TARDY".
  • Dismissal begins at 3:00 PM for all students.


Friday:

  • Students may wear a Borman Spirit Shirt, College Spirit Shirt, or Military Spirit Shirt on Fridays. Students must wear their school uniforms if a student wishes not to participate in Astro Attire Days. (Not Professional Sports Teams Merchandise)

  • August 8: Meet the Teacher from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
  • August 10: First Day of School
  • September 1: Early-Release at 12:00 PM
  • September 4: Labor Day - No School
  • September 29: Early-Release at 12:00 PM

Lunch however is NOT free! Please make sure you log into school cafe to apply for free/reduced lunch, and to add money to your child's lunch account. All lunch accounts must be paid in full by the end of the 2023-24 school year.

Safety Update! Bring Your ID When You Come to Visit!

Dismissal Changes!

For any dismissal changes, please call the office prior to 2:00 PM. Please do not contact teacher, because they are busy throughout the day teaching.


Please call the office, before 2:00 PM, if you wish to change your child's dismissal for the day.

Car Drop-Off Assistance Begins at 7:20 AM

This school year, we are changing our car arrival and drop-off assistance.


  • Our doors by the car lane will open at 7:15 AM, but teachers will not be present to assist until 7:20 AM.
  • We will have a teacher present at the crosswalk, and students are welcomed to enter the building at 7:15 AM, but we will not have a full set of staff members outside to assist students until 7:20 AM.
  • Starting in September, we will have our 4th Grade Safety Crew available to open doors for students starting at 7:20 AM.
  • When weather is bad, teachers and Safety Crew will not be available to open doors.

Please Use The Car Lane

Our car lane moves very quickly! This is our #1 safest method to drop-off and pick-up students.

IF You Choose to Use The Parking Lot...

Please park and walk your child to the door. The parking lot can be very dangerous, especially with small children. Help us keep our students safe by either: Parking and walking your child to the door OR using our car lane.

Do Not Block the Crosswalk

It is a State Law to not block a crosswalk. When you come to a stop at an intersection, State Law requires we leave the crosswalk open for pedestrians. Please do the same here at Borman, and NOT block the crosswalk, especially during student Drop-off and Pick-up.

Lunches at Borman!

You are welcomed to come eat lunch with your child!


We have a family eating area in our galley area so that you may enjoy lunch with your child.


For dietary and safety purposes, we ask that you only eat with your child. Please do not invite your child's friend to join you for lunch in the family eating area.


Lastly, please do not accompany your child to recess. We ask that parents not join our students out on the playground.

Looking for After School Care? CIS After School is HERE!

Our CIS After School program is currently looking to fill enrollment for the 2023-24 school year! It is important to know that this program is completely FREE! If you are in need of After School care, please complete the application and reach out to Ms. Guerra!


Important Notes:

  • FREE of cost
  • Students must stay until 6:00 PM Dismissal
  • For students 2nd - 5th Grades
  • Will not begin until August 21st

School Opens at 7:15 AM, and starts at 7:40 AM

We are currently seeing up to 20+ students tardy each day.


Please help us in making sure our students have the best start to their day! When a child arrives late, this can cause a domino effect for the rest of their day. They miss out on morning meeting, announcements, and have a feeling of "missing out".


Our building opens at 7:15 AM each day to allow students a sufficient amount of time to enjoy breakfast and get to class before 7:40 AM. At 7:40 AM, classroom instruction begins. If your child enjoys breakfast in the morning, please arrive closer to 7:15 AM so that they have a sufficient amount of time before class begins.
