NHS Band Summer Performance - Big Brothers & Big Sisters
Friday, July 19, 2024
7:00AM
- Report to Band Room
- Wear your band camp shirt from last year or any blue Noble shirt or any plain blue shirt
- Wear black shorts and tennis shoes
- Work on song “Twist & Shout”
9:00AM
- Load buses to head to downtown Norman
9:30AM
- Filming time
~10:30AM
- Head back to school
~11:00AM
- Unload & dismiss
I understand some of you may be out of town on this day, that is completely fine. But otherwise, you are expected to be here! This is another great opportunity for us to give back to the community and showcase our amazing students. Please let me know ASAP if you will not be in town. Please also let me know if you need help with transportation or have any other questions.

Information Form
- We still have several students who need to complete the information form so we can get everyone’s contact information and sizes.
- IMPORTANT – Do not fill this form out if you aren’t sure what sizes you need. I have sample sizes of the shorts and polos available to try on in the high school band room.
- If you know what sizes you need, fill out the form HERE.
Physicals
- All students need to get a physical done that is dated after May 1st, 2024 (you must get a new one each school year). You can get this done at most urgent care locations, as well as with your primary care doctor.
- This needs to be completed and returned to me before the first day of band camp.
Rank One
- ALL students must log in to Rank One and complete the required forms. This must be done again every school year.
- To do this go to www.nobleps.com, click schools, then athletics, then athletic physical forms. This will start you in the Rank One system where all forms can be completed online.
Thursday, August 1st
- This event is located at Embassy Suites in Norman.
- 11:30AM to 4:30PM
- Must be 15 or older.
- Must provide your own transportation.
- You will earn $15 per hour towards band fees/tour account.
- 11 People Needed – Sign up HERE
- Parents/Families – this is a great chance to earn easy money towards your child’s band fees / tour account. High school students will not be able to work this one.
Thursday, September 19th
- This event is being held at Washington High School
- 7:00PM to 10:30PM – Tearing down rides after the event only. I know this is a school night but we don’t have a game this week.
- Must be 15 or older.
- We can get a mini-bus if needed.
- You will earn $15 per hour towards band fees/tour account.
- 10 People Needed – Sign up HERE
Saturday, October 5th – OU is on a BYE week so there is no game this day 😊
- This event is being held at US Foods in OKC – 10211 N. I-35 Service Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73131 (rescheduled event from April 27th)
- 11:30AM to approximately 4:00PM
- Must be 15 or older.
- We can get a mini-bus if needed.
- You will earn $15 per hour

Summer Band Camp 2024
This summer’s band camp schedule will be:
Friday, July 26th 6:00PM - Senior Pre-Camp Dinner
Saturday, July 27th 9:00AM-3:00PM - Drumline & Color Guard Workout Day
Monday, July 29th through Thursday, August 1st 7:00AM-3:00PM - Full Band Summer Camp
Friday, August 2nd 7:00AM-8:00PM - Full Band Summer Camp (End of Camp Presentation at 6:00PM)
Costs:
- Band Camp Cost = $120.00 per student
- This covers all lunches, afternoon snacks, dinner Friday, & extra activities
- Uniform Fee = $30.00 per student
- This covers band camp shirt, shorts, polo, & cleaning fees
- Dinkles (Marching Shoes) = $35.00 per student (only those who need to order a pair)
- Color Guard Shoes = $40.00 per student
- Total Marching Season Cost = $150.00 per student (or $185.00/$190.00 per student if you need shoes)
Compared to the marching band fees charged by other 5A high schools in Oklahoma, this is several hundred dollars less than the average cost. However, never allow financial concerns to prevent your child from participating in marching band. Simply contact us and allow us to help you work this out. We will have several fundraising opportunities for students to participate in that will help cover these costs.
We are very excited about the 2024-2025 school year and looking forward to much success. All you have to do is be here and participate to the best of your ability. With another large incoming freshman class, our high school band will include 90+ members. Band camp is a very important time of instruction for the group as a whole, where we will be working on our pregame show, halftime shows, and stand tunes each day. We understand that some situations may arise that cause you to miss part of band camp. Please be sure to communicate with me as soon as you know there is a conflict so we can help you get any information you will miss during that time
