Make your Mark
Parent/Student Newsletter August 1, 2024
Hitting the mark....
Peter H. Reynolds has a series of books for children, the first of which is entitled, The Dot. We have selected this book as our theme for the year - the book is written to inspire and encourage students to realize that getting started, getting "un-stuck" and sharing your gifts and talents with others must begin from within. That is our hope and desire - to share our talents with your student so that they can grow and blossom into amazing individuals who are ready to show greatness in all they do. As parents, I know that you will join us in fostering this message and helping your child to make their mark on the world - academically, socially, and emotionally - as they grow into leaders. Throughout the year, we have already planned some activities as we develop the theme further.

Attendance/Early Outs
Please remember that daily attendance is a critical piece of academic success. All students should arrive on campus between 7:35 and 7:55. Students have no more than 3 days to bring a note back in the event of an absence for it to be counted as excused. Parents are limited to writing 3 notes per semester. Any consecutive absences of more than 3 days requires a doctor's note. Excessive absences can result in Saturday School assignment and/or court fines for truancy. Every 3 tardy or leaving early will result in an unexcused absence.
Students may not be picked up from school between 2:30 and dismissal on Monday - Thursday or after 1:30 on Friday. This begins a very active and moving campus, so we do not do pick-ups. Please arrive prior to then or wait until after school.
