Morris Elementary School
Week of May 13th
Hello Parents and Guardians,
First and foremost, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support and generosity shown during Teacher Appreciation Week. The delicious meals and treats provided by all of you made the week truly special for our hardworking staff. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are deeply appreciated, and we are so grateful for your continued support of our school community.
As we move forward into the final stretch of the school year, we have a few important announcements and reminders to share with you:
Overdue Books Notices: Ms. Tone, our dedicated librarian, has compiled a list of books that have not yet been returned to the library. She will be sending notices to families regarding these overdue books. Your cooperation in locating and returning these books is greatly appreciated.
Smart Watches Reminder: It has come to my attention that some students have been wearing smart watches during the school day, which is not permitted according to our school handbook. This can be disruptive to the learning environment and to others around them.
We kindly remind all parents and guardians that students are not allowed to have smart watches or cell phones on them during the school day. If a student is found using a smart watch during the school day, it will be confiscated and held in the school office until a parent or guardian can retrieve it.
While we understand the importance of staying connected, we assure you that students are allowed to contact their parents or guardians through the school office if needed. Our staff is always available to assist students in reaching out to you when necessary.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a positive and focused learning environment for all students. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the school office.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at this year's PTO-sponsored Ice Cream Social! We would not be able to have this event without all of your help. Any questions, please feel free to reach out to Michelle Allen (617-413-9155).
MCAS TESTING SCHEDULE
As we approach the upcoming state testing period, I want to remind you of the significance of regular attendance during this critical time. The state testing schedule plays a pivotal role in assessing our students' academic progress and providing valuable insights into their learning achievements.
