Millbridge Robotics Sign Up

2nd graders will have the opportunity to use LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 to build various configurations of robots and learn to program the robot.

Each child participating will be paired with another student on the first meeting day, working together throughout the sessions. Each partnership will explore, create, and learn to think like an engineer.

Students will use a WeDo 2.0 kit and a Chromebook with the LEGO WeDo app to code the robots.

The Millbridge Robotics Coaches are Ms. Danter and Mr. Zwier.

Three separate sessions will run at Millbridge this year. Each session will accommodate 20 Second Graders.

The Fall, Winter, and Spring teams will meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays on the dates listed below.

Please note that there are no late buses at Millbridge. Pick-up after Robotics will be promptly at 4:30 pm.

If more children sign up than available spaces, we will use a lottery system to determine participation. When you fill out the online registration form, your responses are recorded on a spreadsheet visible to the Robotics advisers & administrators. The number on the line of the spreadsheet will become your child's "lottery number." We will use the random number generator at random.org (check it out - it's pretty neat) to randomly select students from those who registered.

Registration Deadline is Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
