Placement 23-24 Optional Parent Input - Last Week

This is the last week to share any information that you would like to be considered during our placement process. The form must be completed each year as we believe all students learn and grow from year to year.

The deadline for completing this form is April 30th. Information shared after April 30th may not be considered.

Lost and Found - Hats and Gloves

There are still A LOT of unclaimed items.

We are starting to empty out our lost and found of winter items. Please look at the pictures linked below and email edavis@sd25.org with the photo number, item description, student name, and teacher. We will return the items to your child. PLEASE do not tell your child to come to the office to get the item, sending an email works best for us. School Practice Drills

BUS EVACUATION DRILLS

On Friday, April 21, we will have our bus evacuation drills. This drill prepares our students so they know what to do in case of an emergency when they are riding to/from school, or being transported for a field trip.

Building Drills

We have two additional evacuation drills scheduled before the end of the year. We have one scheduled in early April and one in early May. The specific dates are weather dependent. Our teachers and students are given advanced notice so that we do not cause any undo anxiety.

Construction Update

We wanted to provide an update regarding the trees located along the west side of our building. Unfortunately, we have had to remove these trees to support upcoming construction for Full-Day Kindergarten.

After careful consideration, it was determined that due to the age and condition of the trees and their location, it was necessary to remove them for the safety of the building and to support construction logistics. We understand the importance of trees in our environment, and we regret having to take this action. However, we are committed to ensuring the safety of our students and staff, as well as supporting the needs of our school community.

At the completion of the project, new trees and landscaping will be installed to enhance the beauty and functionality of our school grounds. We are excited about the upcoming changes and look forward to sharing updates with you as the project progresses.
