What's Happening Around TCE?
TCE's 'TOP NOTCH' Kids
During the month of February we were looking for students who consistently demonstrated COMPASSION. Compassion is "caring about others when they are down, and wanting to help them". These students see the best in our school and the people who fill it. Congratulations to our February TCE Top Notch Students!
March TOP NOTCH students will be nominated based on their ability to show Confidence. Confidence is defined as "the ability to believe in yourself, even when things get difficult."
Congratulations to February's 'Top Notch' Kids!

Bulldog Rewards Activity
On February 7th many students in grades 4-6 traveled to New Richmond to their aquatic center to enjoy an afternoon of swimming. Each student had to maintain passing grades in all of their classes, earn 6 or less minor Office Discipline Referrals (or the equivalent in Majors) OR show significant improvement from the previous reward session (September 1-October 31). Every student starts over each session and can once again begin earning the reward. We will have one final reward activity in early May after the conclusion of session 3 (April 30th). Please encourage your child to continue to work hard to earn these rewards.

Kids Heart Challenge
This year TCE students raised over 5,000 dollars for the American Heart Association. Easton Lange raised over $1,000 alone. He is this years top fundraiser and is pictured with Mr. Day handing over a check to Lisa Hoffman of the American Heart Association. Mr. Day said, "he is overwhelmed by this effort and wants to thank everyone for their support and participation this year."
Little Bulldogs Playgroup
The students in ELC learned all about hibernation in January. They took part in learning activities all around the school and were able to take part in hands-on learning. Take a look!

Sweet 2 BE Me Event at CESA #11
On February 28th, Mr. Pitt took five 2nd graders to CESA in Turtle Lake for an Engineering and STEM event. We met with 7 other schools and learned about what engineers are, and the things that great engineers all do! We got the opportunity to rubber band cars, create marble runs and ramps, shoot rockets, and other fun activities. It was a great chance for our students to not only learn more about science, but to connect with other students in the area with similar interests. It was such a fun day learning about science, engineering, and learning from our mistakes.
