Mid-Term Letters
We are now on the verge of completing our third week of remote learning. Unfortunately, there are some students and families who are not engaging in the learning opportunities that are presented to them. For this reason, we would like to send out a mid-term letter to formally notify each family what we have attempted and the consequences of disengagement.
These mid-term letters will be mailed on Monday, September 21st. We ask that each classroom teacher do the following by Monday, September 21st at 8 a.m.
Fill out a mid-term letter for any student who:
Has 5 or more disengaged days and/or 5 missing assignments AND without a communicated plan for improvement.
Attach current grades to the letter.
Give the mid-term letter and current grade sheet to the building principal by Monday, September 21st at 8 a.m.
Seek assistance from your building principal if needed to help determine if a letter is needed.
Our hope is this communication will help re-emphasize the importance of students engaging in the learning being provided and our attendance expectations.
Weekly Attendance
