Thank you to everyone who participated in the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge. We are so excited to share that we raised a Windsor record-setting $16, 275.83!!!! This is amazing, we celebrated by having a whole school dance party in our classrooms!

Last week, students learned Irish Dance during PE for our multicultural week and today, the Trinity Irish Dancers came to Windsor, and our students had the opportunity to see Irish Dancing in person!

I’m excited to share that we have scheduled the 2nd and 3rd grade Noetic Math Contest for this spring. Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 13. The contest will take place after school in the LMC. New this year, students will be participating in the contest online. Because of this change, we can only allow the first 30 second graders and the first 30 third graders that register to participate. Dear 5th Grade Parents/Guardians,

To carry on the Windsor tradition of creating a memory slideshow/video of our 5th grader’s elementary school years, we are asking for your help. We need school-related photos of your child alone or with other children in his/her/their grade to show their time as a Windsor Wildcat. Our committee will collect your photos for compilation into a video montage that will be unveiled at the 5th Grade Breakfast on Thursday, June 1st and will be made available to view after that date. We hope to have ALL 5th grade students in this walk down memory lane.

Please send a total of 4 photos per child. The 4 photos can be from any grade, Kindergarten through 5 th grade, of your child alone or with other children in his/her/their grade. Consider sending in 2 of your child alone and 2 in a group; though, a different combination of photos works, as long as there are no more than four.

How we can make this successful and organized:

1. PREPARE 4 PHOTOS IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS

a. Save photos in a .jpg file if possible.

b. Save each file with your child’s name and if possible the grade the photo was taken. Example: Maggie Smith_1

c. If you have a hardcopy, scan the photo or take a picture of the photo to then email.

2. PREPARE EMAIL & SEND BY THE DUE DATE

a. Please put your child’s name in the subject of the email message.

b. Attach all 4 photos at one time as a .jpg file if possible.

c. Send the email/photos to the correct committee member based on your child’s teacher.

Irish–American Heritage Month is celebrated by proclamation of the President and Congress in the United States to honor the achievements and contributions of Irish immigrants and their descendants living in the United States. It was first celebrated in 1991 and coincides with the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day in March.

Greek-American Heritage month, also known as Hellenic Heritage Month, is observed in March of each year. March 25 is celebrated as Greece’s National Independence Day.

This is a time to honor Greek heritage, including Greek history, culture, accomplishments, and experiences. With a vast cultural legacy and history, it is also a time to highlight Greek-American contributions to American history.

While you may also email the teacher, there are times that the teacher will not read email prior to school starting. Please always leave a message first. We cannot stress this enough. Please also make every effort for your child to arrive at school on time. Missing the beginning of the school day often has a negative impact on students for the rest of the day. Please contact the office if your child will be tardy or needs to leave early.
