Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am thrilled to share some exciting news about our school’s progress! This year, our school earned a state letter grade of B! This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and partnership among our students, staff, and families. Together, we have made strides in providing a strong and supportive learning environment where each child can succeed.
A "B" grade highlights the positive steps we’ve taken in maintaining academic performance, engagement, and growth, and it motivates us to keep reaching even higher. "A" letter grade, here we come!
Thank you for your continued support, involvement, and trust in us. We are proud of this accomplishment and look forward to even more growth in the coming year. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like more information about how we’re working to support every student.
The Family Engagement department has put out a survey to get your input. Your feedback is so important in helping us to provide the best service possible to our families. Please see the bar code below and complete the survey by Friday, November 22.
Warmest regards,
Emily Suess

News from Community Family Liaison
Counselor's Corner
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am currently enrolling students in two fantastic small groups designed to support social and emotional growth. These groups have not started yet because I am hoping for a few more students to join us! Each group meets during school hours and will not interfere with academic learning time. Here’s a closer look at the two groups offered:
1. Social/Friendship Skills Group (Grades K-2)
Focus: Making friends, communication, and navigating social situations.
Ideal for younger students who are learning the basics of forming friendships and communicating effectively, this group uses fun activities to teach skills like sharing, active listening, and self-expression.
Benefits:
Practice making friends in a supportive environment
Learn essential social skills like empathy and cooperation
Grow in confidence for social interactions
2. Self-Esteem Group (Grades 3-5)
Focus: Building confidence, promoting positive self-talk, and recognizing personal strengths.
Designed for students ready to explore what makes them unique, this group helps students reflect on their strengths and build a positive self-image.
Benefits:
Develop a healthy self-concept and practice resilience
Learn strategies for positive self-talk and goal-setting
Celebrate individuality and strengths
Interested in Therapy Services?
In addition to these groups, I am excited to share that we have a community partnership with La Frontera Services. If you feel your child would benefit from one-on-one therapy, we can help streamline enrollment for these services. Through this partnership, students can start therapy much faster than waiting on typical waitlists. If interested, please reach out to me directly to make a referral for your child.
How to Sign Up:
If you’d like to enroll your child in one of the groups, or if you’d like more information about therapy services, please contact me at 520-731-4961 or kylie.wright2@tusd1.org. Please leave a voicemail if I don’t answer so that I am able to call you back as soon as I can!
Thank you for your partnership in supporting your child’s growth and well-being. We look forward to helping each student flourish in their unique way!
Warm regards,
Kylie Wright
