This Week at BLE
Important Details for the Week of 11/7-11/11
School Schedule
Late Start Mondays: 10:35 am - 3:45 pm.
School starts at 10:35 am on Mondays. Please drop your students off no earlier than 10:20 am on Mondays. Bus routes run 90 minutes later on Mondays.
Tuesday through Friday Schedule: 9:00 am - 3:45 pm.
Classes begin at 9:00 am. Please drop your students off no earlier than 8:45 am.
If you are Running Late
If you are dropping your student off and it is after 9:00 am, you need to park in the front lot and walk your student into the front office. It is critical you do not drop your student off in the back loop or front lot after 9:00 am. There is no exterior supervision on campus after 9:00 am, attendance has already been taken, and all of our exterior doors are locked.
Please take the time to park and walk your student in. Thank you for your attention to this expectation.
Spirit Days
- On Mondays we wear College or Local High School Spirit Wear
- On Fridays we wear Viking or Blue Spirit Gear

Honoring Veterans Family Connection
Last week, students were sent home with an "Honoring A Veteran" certificate. Your family has an opportunity to honor a family member or friend who has served for our country.
Please feel free to decorate the certificate, place or draw a picture of the Veteran you would like to honor, and return it to your student's teacher to allow an opportunity to share about their Veteran. The certificate will be displayed in our school.
Classrooms will have discussions about Veterans Day on Thursday, November 10th.

PTA Update
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers. AND—as always—every book they buy earns rewards for our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place in the BLE Library the following dates and times
11/14- 8:45-10 (open to families), 10:35-3:30 (open for classes)
11/15- 9:15-3:30 (open for classes)
11/16- 9:15- 12:15 (open for classes), 12:15-4:15 (open for families)
11/17- 9:15- 12:15 (open for classes), 12:15-6:45 (open for families)
11/18- 9:15- 12:15 (open for classes), 12:15-4:15 (open for families)
This year, say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.

The countdown to more Bookjoy is on! Catch you at the Fair!
