Vision Screening
Bellin College, in partnership with Brown County Public Health, will be visiting Forest Glen on Wednesday, December 4th to conduct vision screenings for students in 4K, kindergarten, first and third grades. If you wish for your student to participate in the screening, nothing is needed on your part. If you prefer NOT to have your child screened, please complete this form.
If you would like to have your child screened and he/she is not in one of the targeted grades, please click here to add them to the screening list. If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 662-7958. Thank you!
Student Fees
Student fees are now past due and must be paid as soon as possible. Timely payment is essential to maintain coverage for your child's school devices and avoid potentially costly repair fees.
Please refer to the email sent by the district on November 1st for payment instructions.
Dress for the Weather
Please be sure to send your child with the appropriate outerwear each day. This should include winter jackets, snow pants, boots, mittens/gloves, and a hat. Please label all items with your child's name. As a rule, students go outside for recess every day when the outside temperature (factoring in the wind chill) is at or above zero degrees. Each recess is twenty minutes which can feel like a long time if they are not dressed warm. Some students are also walking to and from school and some may be standing at their bus stop for several minutes. We want all of our children to stay healthy so they can do their best at school!
Emergency Closings
Inclement weather may necessitate the closing or delay of schools. If schools are closed, this will also include the cancellation of extracurricular activities and events at the community pool, unless otherwise announced. In addition to District social media accounts, local television/radio stations, and the District website, HSSD will send weather delay and closing updates via text message . To receive text alerts from HSSD: text the word “Yes” to 67587. In addition to local radio and television stations, weather conditions can be checked on-line at https://www.hssdschools.org/

Lost & Found
Please view the photo below of our Lost & Found items. If you see anything that may belong to your child, please email their teacher. All items left behind will be donated at the end of each month. Thank you!
School Attendance
If your child will be absent due to an appointment, it is recommended that you obtain an excuse from your provider for the date and time of the visit and return the excuse to the school office. This will ensure that the absence is noted as a medically excused absence or tardy. Appointment cards will not be accepted as an excuse.
- To report an absence, please call the school's attendance line at 662-7990 by 9:00 am.
- Monitor your child’s tardies and absences through the district website: http://hssdschools.powerschool.com/public/
