February is a special month as we celebrate friendship, kindness, and the love of learning in our school community. It's a great time to remind our students about the importance of treating one another with respect, compassion, and care--values we strive to nurture every day at Rees.

This month we encourage students to spread kindness in big and small ways. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply including someone new in a game, these small gestures make a big difference!

Although February may be a short month, it will be filled with opportunities for learning and growth. Let's continue working together to create a school environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired.

Rees Elementary

Flem Rees Elementary School opened its doors to 650 students on August 20, 1983. It was the thirteenth elementary school built in the Alief Independent School District. In 2024, Rees Elementary began it's transition to a Performing and Visual Arts Academy.
