Parent Teacher Conferences
A parent-teacher conference is a short meeting between you and your child's teacher(s) to talk about your child's academic performance and experience at school. These meetings help you understand what your child is learning at school, their academic and social-emotional progress, and what you can do to support them. This year's parent-teacher conferences will take place on Monday, November 18th and Wednesday, November 20th. Please contact your child's teacher to schedule an appointment.
*Both dates 11/18 and 11/20 will be an early dismissal for all students. Please plan alternate pick up plans and be at the bus stop two hours earlier.*.

Recess
Our students have recess each day. Please be sure they wear sneakers (no slides, crocs or heels). Students without proper footwear will not be allowed on the playground equipment and will play on the blacktop only. As the weather gets colder, please be sure students have their jackets and sweaters. We go out so long as the temperature is above 30 degrees.
To provide students the opportunity to interact with other peers and build friendships, our recess groups will change in January once we return from holiday break.

Fundraising for WHSA
Dear Woodland Families,
I hope this message finds you well. As we begin the new school year, we are excited to share updates about our annual fundraising efforts. Due to changes and evolving circumstances, we have decided to forgo our traditional Walk-a-Ween fundraiser this year, a change we implemented as it was originally set up during the pandemic. However, we are thrilled to continue celebrating with our beloved Halloween Parade!
With the absence of the Walk-a-Ween fundraiser, we face a shortfall in our fundraising goal of over $10,000. To bridge this gap and continue supporting the many programs and enhancements that benefit our students, we kindly ask for your assistance.
Here’s how you can help:
- Write a Check: Please consider making a contribution by writing a check to Woodland HSA. Every dollar donated will directly support the numerous social and enrichment activities we provide throughout the year. Suggested amounts include $10, $20, $50, $100, or any amount that fits your budget.
- Venmo Donations: For convenience, you can also donate via Venmo to @Woodland-HSA.
- Company Matching: If your employer offers a company match for charitable donations, this is a great opportunity to double the impact of your contribution.
- Tax-Deductible Donations: If you need to make a taxable donation before the end of the year, consider contributing to the HSA.
The funds raised through our efforts, along with the dedication of many volunteers, allow us to enrich the educational experience at Woodland Elementary. The HSA supports a variety of activities and programs, including:
- Fall and Spring Fling Events
- Cultural Arts Programs
- Book Fairs
- Field Day
- Author Day
- Science Day
- And much more!
Additionally, we help enhance the learning environment by providing additional technology and equipment, improving playgrounds and school grounds, and coordinating volunteer efforts to support our dedicated staff and teachers.
Your support is crucial in helping us achieve our goals and continue offering these wonderful experiences for our children. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant difference.
Thank you for your continued support and generosity.
No donation is too small!
- Direct Donation: Visit our membership toolkit and make your donation directly here
- Venmo Donations: For convenience, you can also donate via Venmo to @Woodland-HSA.
Warm regards,
Woodland Elementary HSA
