STARS FOOTBALL EXTRA POINTS
MAY EDITION 2 OF 2 END OF SCHOOL YEAR YAY!!!!
TRUE NORTH
Ten years ago, our 2013 class developed the True North mentality. Each point on the 5-pointed star is recognized to represent one belief that our program will be built on. Each point on the star is equal to the one before it. The values of Leadership, Investment, Selflessness, Accountability, and Preparation make up our North Star. In the center of the completed stars lies the T.E.A.M. For the past ten seasons and every moment in between, we have remained consistent in our steadfast belief in these five values. They are our "True North". These beliefs will be our compass in all we do as a program on and off the field. Much like the Northstar in maritime days, we will use our "True North" as the compass we will follow in the journey to the elite. I am proud of these words and what they mean. I have seen them transform lives, including my own. I hope you can share in our "True North" philosophy and discuss these values with your son or daughter as much as possible.

Stars Family -
On this Mother's Day weekend, I want to take a moment to celebrate the unsung heroes—the football moms. These remarkable women play an essential role in shaping our young athletes’ experiences both on and off the field. Here are three key points highlighting their invaluable support:
The Ultimate Cheerleaders:
- Football moms are the ones in the stands, rain or shine, cheering louder than anyone else. Their unwavering support fuels our players’ determination. Whether it’s a touchdown or a tough tackle, they’re there, waving banners and shouting encouragement. Moms, your cheers echo through the stadium, reminding our players that they’re not alone.
Behind-the-Scenes MVPs:
- Beyond game day, football moms are the logistical wizards. They organize carpool schedules, wash muddy uniforms, and pack nutritious snacks. They’re the ones who ensure our players have everything they need—from cleats to water bottles. Their attention to detail allows our athletes to focus solely on the game. Moms, you’re the silent architects of our team’s success.
Emotional Anchors:
- Football can be intense, and victories and defeats alike evoke strong emotions. Moms provide the emotional stability our players need. They celebrate wins with infectious joy and offer comforting hugs during tough losses. Their empathy and understanding create a safe space for our athletes to express their feelings. Moms, you’re the heart of our football family.
So, to all the football moms out there: Thank you. Thank you for your sacrifices, your passion, and your unwavering love. You’re not just spectators; you’re essential members of our team. Your impact extends far beyond the sidelines.

College Visitation Rules
The NCAA D1 FBS contact period has started. That means colleges can schedule times to visit with the 2024 recruits. In the coming weeks, we will have an excellent opportunity to get our players in front of some of the best and brightest colleges in the country. Our protocol for college visits is as follows.
1. Coach Pomazak emails administration scheduled visits for the coming day, including which students have been asked to attend by visiting college coach.
2. Students will receive a pass before the scheduled visit.
3. Students will only have 15 minutes to visit. This will help limit the loss of instructional time.
4. If students have any assessments during the visit, they are not permitted to come.
5. Teachers have the right to ask students not to leave class.
6. Students should refrain from missing the same class twice a row.
Jen McClure is named new 4th Phase Parent Group Leader
Thank you to Danielle Taormina for leading our parent group over the last 2 years. Danielle has done an amazing job and leaves the program in an amazing place. Taking the reigns will be Jennifer McClure. Jen has had two players go through the program. Previously Zach '21 was a team captain and conference champion, currently Aidan is a junior All-Conference linebacker. We welcome Jen to the helm and look forward to working with her.
