March 7, 2025
Hello, families,
Next week we will introduce forecasting materials for our future 7th and 8th graders. Linked below you will find the possible elective courses that our students can choose.
We ask that you talk with your child about their elective choices next year. Students will complete a “trail guide” in Advisory on Monday that asks them to rank their choices. They will have this sheet or at least a photo of it on their iPad. We appreciate your support!
Please consider reviewing all our elective offerings at CMS for the 2025-2026 school year. Notice how each elective has prerequisite requirements listed and the length of each course. Students should be forecasting a total of 2.0 electives.
Year-long electives = 1.0
Semester-long electives = .5
Quarter-long electives = .25
Example Forecasting Plan:
Intermediate Art = .5
Intermediate Foods = .5
Intermediate Orchestra = 1.0
TOTAL = 2.0
With any forecasting questions, please reach out to your child’s counselor. Last names A-K email amy.mick@bend.k12.or.us and last names L-Z email michelle.beaudrea@bend.k12.or.us. You may also reach out with general questions to our Dean of Students, Leah Boon, at leah.boon@bend.k12.or.us.
We will be on a slightly different schedule on Monday and Thursday to accommodate forecasting. You can find the revised schedule below.
Thank you,
Gabe Pagano,
Principal

📆 Order Yearbooks by May 1 📆
It is time to purchase your child’s 2024-25 Yearbook!
The deadline to purchase is approaching! Yearbooks must be purchased no later than May 1!!!
Yearbooks are distributed every year in June at our annual Yearbook Distribution Party. Purchasing a Yearbook is a great opportunity for students to celebrate their year at Cascade and see photos of their classmates and teachers that will last a lifetime. This year they are $25, with an option to have your child’s name engraved on the cover for an extra $2.55.
Books may be purchased in the Main Office or online through your student's Touchbase account. When logging in to Touchbase, your username will be your student’s ID number, and the password will be your student’s last name with a capital first initial. A link to order your yearbook can be found here: https://or-bendlapine.intouchreceipting.com/.
If you miss the May 1 deadline to order, we will have a *very limited* number of books for sale -- $30 cash or check -- during the party only. These will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and we cannot guarantee enough for everyone. Save time and money by buying in advance!
