Vinewood Weekly Bulletin 10-30-23

Congratulations to our 4-6 grade students who participated in this year’s Vinewood Spelling Bee on October 18th. The students who represented each class were Kameron Rivera-Sandoval

(Mrs. Billings), Zyler Gamez (Mrs. Stevens), Dua Khan (Mrs. Johnson), Bodhi Deeter (Mr. Baker), Tyler Nasca (Mrs. Burns), Marilyn Arreguin (Ms. Sahli), Adrian Fonseca Santoyo (Mrs. Hamel), Natalie Hamrick (Mrs. Hutson), and Juana Samarkandy (Mrs. Dickinson).

The winner of Vinewood’s Spelling Bee was Juana Samarkandy and the runner-up was Kameron Rivera-Sandoval. Juana will move on to participate in the Lodi Area competition which will be held at Vinewood on Friday, November 8th. Go Mustangs!

Our yearly Fall Fundraiser was a huge success again, at last count we had nearly hit our goal of $50,000 in sales. We will report our total earnings at our Parent Club Meeting this Wednesday. Thank you all for continuing to support our fundraising efforts!

Our annual Pancakes with Santa event is just around the corner, Dec 14. Yearly we ask our Vinewood families for donations for this fun filled morning for our Mustang community. Panda’s Smoke Shack, a local food truck, is owned and operated by one of our Vinewood families. They will be serving up their delicious fare on November 20 in a drive through style dine out to benefit our Science Camp fund. Watch for more information coming home this week. Our next Parent Club meeting is at 6 pm. on Wednesday, November 6th, in the school cafeteria. We had a great turnout last month, and we hope many more parents can attend to hear all of the fabulous things our Parent Club is doing for our students, staff, and community!

Vinewood is in need of an on call sub noon duty personnel. The hours are 11:30-1:15 and 10:30-12:30 on minimum days. Mark your calendars for the upcoming minimum days: Wednesday, November 6th, December 4th, 11th, and 20th (Friday). Report cards for the first trimester will be sent home with your child on Friday, November 15th.

Additionally, we have some important holiday dates: November 11th (Veteran’s Day) and Thanksgiving break from November 27th to 29th. Please remember that we do not have the entire week off for Thanksgiving. The last day of school before winter break will be Friday, December 20th, which is also a minimum day.
