We have one more week until Winter Break! Lots of fun things are planned so please make sure your child is here on time each day. We are continuing our fun spirit days. Winter Break is Dec. 23rd-January 6th. School resumes for students on Tuesday, Jan. 7th.

Monday is our Spelling Bee (see info below) and our 3rd grade performance. Doors on the North side of the building will be open at 5:45 for the program. Due to The After School Program, we are unable to open them early. Students will need to arrive at 5:45 and report to the music room. The program begins at 6:00.

Class winter parties will be on Thursday, December 19 at 2:00pm. This is a very busy time. If you plan to stop by, please complete the form below so that you won't have to wait in line. ALL parents are signed in through our raptor system. Please watch for sign-ups from classroom teachers. Homeroom parents will be sending home the link through teachers.

Santa pictures are being emailed from a Young Elementary Info account. Watch for yours to come.

Thank you for those that volunteered for the teacher Christmas luncheon. The teachers were thankful for an extended lunch.

Yearbooks are on sale. Paper copies will be coming home on Monday. Purchase early for the cheaper price. Online purchasing options available as well.

Reminders: We use the following weather chart to determine if we will play outside. Please send your child in a coat because we do go out when it is chilly. Don't forget to write their name incase it gets lost.

Our school spelling bee will be on Monday, December 16 at 8:15AM in the cafeteria. If your child is in the spelling bee and you plan to attend, arrive early and bring your ID to be scanned in the office.

The Department of Education announced this week that the K-2 interims will be cancelled for this year. These were scheduled for January. The summative assessment will still take place in the spring. We will continue to use classroom data and ATLAS testlet data to monitor student progress towards grade level standards.
