LUNCH WITH YOUR STUDENT
Beginning Monday, August 26th, there will be one day a week that parents can sign up, in advance. Please include your child in the number of people you are signing up. • Parents must be on time for their child’s scheduled lunch time. • Parents must communicate with their child’s teacher that they will be coming to lunch on that day. • Parents must sign in at the front office and will be escorted to Center Court and supervised if they are not a registered volunteer. Registered volunteers do not need to be escorted or supervised during their lunch in Center Court. • Parents may only have lunch with their child. • We strongly suggest that younger siblings stay home as we will have limited seating available. • Please be mindful of time, your child will need to report back to the cafeteria before the end of their lunch period. Parents will sign out in the front office.

MORNING MILE
Morning Mile is back! Please come join us on the south field anytime from 7:15 am until the first bell. The Morning Mile is a special program at Gemini where students are encouraged to come early and meet their friends to get active before the school day starts. Morning Mile takes place on the field just south of the school with kids walking or running laps around the field. Every student at Gemini new and returning is automatically signed up and Morning Mile is free. Each lap run or walked around the field earns a straw with 5 laps/straws in a mile. 5 miles/25 laps earns a necklace and shoe charm! For 100 miles and up kids will receive a t-shirt, run a victory lap, and earn recognition on an awards placard. Parents, siblings, and friends are welcome to come participate with the students. Kids at all levels are encouraged to participate and make fitness a healthy and fun habit! We hope to see you there!
Please join our Remind group so you can get notifications about weather cancellations. To join, text @dee9f2f to 81010 or visit https://www.remind.com/join/dee9f2f

Resiliency Skill Resources
Florida is leading a first-in-the-nation approach that empowers students to persevere and overcome life’s inevitable challenges. The Florida Department of Education developed state education standards and resources to equip students with skills that build resiliency. Each month, Brevard Schools Foundation will be sharing a Resiliency Skill of the Month, along with parent resources from FLDOE’s resiliency toolkit. This month’s skill is Citizenship. Below are links to resources for Grades K-8th.
