This new plan helps to support our safety and security procedures by helping us strengthen our attention and focus on students in the school and keeping our outside doors closed more often during the day.

Teachers will make sure that students have the materials that they need to make it through the day

Every absence is recorded as part of the student’s attendance record and counts toward chronic absenteeism. Please note vacations, practices/competitions, birthday celebrations, and similar leisure activities are not considered valid causes for absences.

D204 Academically Talented Programming
District 204 offers a variety of academic programs to meet the needs of our students starting in 3rd grade. Although assessment occurs throughout the school year for all students, some programs require the gathering of additional information in order to determine appropriate placement.
Our identification process for Project Arrow and Accelerated Math programs includes the use of multiple measures when considering the whole child for academic programming. We consider standardized and normed assessment data including, but not limited to, the following: Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT), Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), iReady, classroom assessments, and student learning characteristics.
If you have any questions regarding our Academically Talented programming and testing can be directed to our Student Services Coordinator, Mrs. Marybeth Sally.
Parent Holiday/Cultural Displays
Builta School has provided our families with opportunities to share a little about themselves, by putting together displays that represent our families' cultural and holiday celebrations. If you are interested in signing up to decorate the front office hallway display case for an upcoming holiday or cultural recognition, please click on the blue link and complete the form.
