Unifed Students visit the Capital in Austin
Lubbock Cooper’s Unified Champion Schools representatives, Hayden Lowe and Jenna Loya, traveled to Austin with a Special Olympics delegation where they were recognized on the House floor and met with lawmakers to advocate for funding and support for Special Olympic programs across the state. They met with Lubbock’s own Dustin Burrows to share how Unified Programs have shaped their lives. It was an incredible day and an important step in promoting inclusion!
