Introduction to Acids/Bases (Part1)
Complete each activity in order.
Activity #1
Every solution is either an acid, a base or neutral and today you will be learning about these categories. For most acids, the formula starts with "H" and for most bases the formula ends with "OH". For example, HCl is an acid and NaOH is a base.
The video below goes through how to name an acid. To name a base it is the same that we have always learned. NaOH would be sodium hydroxide, this is where Na is sodium and OH is the polyatomic ion hydroxide.
