Dear PLES!

Thank you to Mr. Myrick and Mr. Francart for being our Watch D.O.G.S. today!


With winter here please make sure students are sent to school with jackets, hats, and gloves as needed. It is also very helpful to label your student’s items so they can be quickly returned if lost.


On Tuesday, 12/10, we will conduct a security drill with students. Teachers and staff will review expectations with students prior to the drill and we are confident our students will do a great job as they have with all previous drills this year.


Thank you to everyone who adopted a child this year! At this time, all children have been adopted! Please remember gift drop off is Thursday, 12/12.

Spotlight on Learning

Students in Mrs. Pinno’s first grade class are learning about numbers from 1 to 120. First, they learned how to represent numbers using place value blocks. They represented numbers using ones, tens, and hundreds. Then, students located numbers on a 120 chart. To demonstrate their new learning students made a place value penguin. Each student was given a number. They found the number of ones, tens, and hundreds in their number. They also represented their number using place value blocks.

PBIS and Bucket Filling

This month we are focusing on our expected behaviors for the hallway. Please take time to review the matrix below with your student. We love handing out bucket bucks when students demonstrate expected behavior!
