OC Earns Highest Safety & Security Rating
OC has taken many steps to improve the safety and security of our district. As a result of our hard work, allocation of resources, and dedication to safety and security, the Nebraska Department of Education has awarded us with a "Diamond" badge, the highest ranking recognized.
Free/Reduced Meals
We have seen a decrease in free and reduced numbers this year. This can have an impact on some of our funding, including our after school program, as certain programs are funded based on the percentage of students qualifying for free and reduced meals. I've included the income eligibility guidelines for free and reduced meals. If you feel you may qualify, we would strongly encourage you to apply right away. Questions can be directed to Julie Ehlers at jehlers@ocknights.org or 402-685-5661.
Anderson Places Top 25 at State Golf
Emma Anderson traveled to North Platte and finished in the top 25 at State Golf! Way to go Emma!
State Land Judging
5 FFA members qualified and participated for state land judging. Participants included Brandi Helzer, Kaelyn Etherington, Luke Monson, Gracie Klausen, & Brooke Denton. Brandi earned a 5th place ribbon, Kaelyn and Luke scored in the top half and the team ended in 18th place.
State Cross Country
Ellinor Johnson and Dawson Meyer competed at State Cross Country on Friday, October 25. Meyer brought home an impressive 8th place medal!
Elementary Arrival
The elementary school opens at 7:45 a.m. each morning. Please do not drop children off until 7:45 a.m. or after. The doors will not be open as there is no supervision for kids until 7:45 a.m. With it getting colder, it will be even more important that kids do not arrive before 7:45 a.m. We ask that you adhere to this so that issues don't arise during unsupervised times.
OC Hosts Post-Season Volleyball
The Oakland-Craig Lady Knights will host a district final on Saturday, November 2 beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Enstrom Chosen for Believers & Achievers
