We had a wonderful Hispanic Heritage celebration on Friday. Cultivating the past and our diverse backgrounds makes a stronger and more unified school community. Thank you to the parents who joined the assembly with the Azteca Dancers, including eighth grader Ethan _______. And a huge shout out to the student presenters Antonio, Paola, Brihanna, Vincent and Anthony.

🦅 Our held our first meeting of the Powell School Site Council. The SSC includes the principal, three teachers, one other school staff member, and five parents. Meetings are held once a month on Wednesdays at 3:30 pm. Powell parents ELECT the parent members of SSC. All meetings of the SSC are open to the public. Please vote for the parent membership by clcking on and submitting this google form:

Parents of English Language Learners are encouraged to join the ELAC Committee. The purpose is to share the unique needs and experiences of students learning English. Committee members advise the school on programs to support the success of English Learners at Powell. Our first meeting was held last Friday, September 27 and the minutes are here

📸 Fall Pictures 10/10 & 10/11-Students wear the school uniform for these pictures. This picture will be used on IDs and in the yearbook. Spring pictures will be "free dress" day. Parents may choose purchase photos in the fall and/or spring.
