Leader in Me -- MRA
On Monday, October 28, look for an email with a link to take the Measurable Results Assessment (MRA), a survey and reporting system designed to provide insights into our school's progress. To provide a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, the MRA includes three different surveys: 1) one completed by all school staff, 2) one completed by students in grades four and above, and 3) one completed by the families of students in all grades.
We hope you will participate so we can use the feedback to make our school an even better place for students and families. If you have any questions about the surveys or wish to see a list of questions, please contact the school’s front office.
FAMILY SURVEY
WHAT: An online survey completed by one member of each household.
The survey typically takes about 5 minutes to complete
Questions relate to the experiences you and your child have at our school.
Answers are anonymous--to encourage people to be honest and open, no names and other identifying information will be collected.
WHEN: The survey will be sent for parents/guardians to complete the week of October 28th.
HOW: The survey can be taken from any computer, smartphone, or tablet with internet access.
The link will be sent to your email. Please look for an email with the link from Leader In Me.

Beggars' Night Trick or Treating scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 30
The City of Altoona celebrates Beggars’ Night with trick or treating from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30. New Altoona residents should note that children may be asked to recite a joke while trick or treating as part of local Beggars’ Night traditions. Residents who wish to participate in trick or treating should turn their outdoor lights on between the hours of 6-8 p.m. to signal that children can stop by. Those who do not wish to participate should turn outdoor “porch lights” off between the hours of 6-8 p.m. Finally, as little ghouls and goblins are out and about on the 30th, please ensure you are being extra watchful, especially if you are traveling around town during trick or treat hours. Have a safe, and Happy Halloween!
