Why did you sign up for the Bilingual exam? I signed up for the Bilingual Seals Exam because I'm proud of the fact that I'm bilingual and I wanted to see what the exam would be like.
What was the process like? The sign up form of the Bilingual Seals Exam required my name, student ID number, grade and the language I wanted to test on. I was a little worried before the exam (I think it's natural for me because I usually worry before tests). The speaking, reading and listening exams weren't difficult but the writing exam was a little difficult for me because I was not good at writing essays when I was in Vietnam.
What advice would you give other students that might be interested? I would suggest they take it because for me, it was a very interesting experience to take an exam that was in my first language in the United States; it was also nostalgic because it has been almost three years since I have done any reading and writing in my first language in a formal way.
What are the benefits? I received twelve credits for passing the exam so now I have 51 credits when I'm just at the beginning of my junior year. I think I can even graduate early if I take all of my required classes.
Anything else you want to share? When I submitted the form to sign up for the exam, it said that there would be an email sent to me to confirm, but I didn't receive anything for the next couple of days; I was really nervous, so I decided to submit another form and finally, the last day for signing up came, I received an email of confirmation. I was really nervous at that time, but now it remains in my mind as a really funny memory.

What made me sign up to take the Bilingual Seals Exam was my Spanish teacher who encouraged me to do it, she told me it would be a great opportunity to have proof of my bilingual skills.
What was the process like?
Signing up was really easy with the link my teacher sent me, I was kind of nervous before taking the exam but once I started and felt comfortable, it was really entertaining since I always take my exams in English, doing it in my native language was like a break and it helped my brain reactivated that part of me.
What advice would you give other students that might be interested?
What I would say to the other students that are proficient in another language other than English about taking this exam is do it! It is a great opportunity to have proof that you are fluent in another language.
What are the benefits?
The benefit of taking this exam is having proof of your abilities!

What made you sign up to take the Bilingual Seals Exam?
I signed up because I figured that it would be a good opportunity for me and a chance to make use of my other language.
What was the process like?
Signing up wasn’t too complicated. The test was quite challenging for me. Writing a whole paragraph in Hmong was something that I wasn’t used to doing. Reading and then answering questions in Hmong was so unusual for me. I thought that I had many flaws with my language, but I did it and made it through.
What advice would you give other students that might be interested?
I would let them know that they should definitely try it out.
What are the benefits ?
It looks good on your resume!
