Clayton Family Chronicles- November
November 1, 2024
Dear Clayton Families,
The first quarter of the 2024/2025 has come to a close! What an great first quarter it has been. We finally have some cooler temperatures which remind us of the hustle and bustle that is to come. The message I continue to send to staff is to slow down and really look at all the good. We continue to be dedicated to the social emotional and academic learning of our students. Staff continue to do an amazing job of meeting our Clayton Cougars where they are at and focusing on skills to continue to move them forward both academically and social-emotoinally. Our school-wide goal is to grow EVERY student this year in EVERY aspect of their learning while making at least a year's growth academically.
I encourage our Clayton families to take this time to really slow down. Eat dinner as a family. Talk about the highs and lows of your days. Go for a walk together to get some fresh air. Have conversations about how your child was feeling in those times and reflect on their feelings and happenings of their school days. Acknowledge them for their hard work and maybe even let them show off something they learned. Life gets busy and hectic and we often forget to slow down and look at the blessings we have.
Wishing you a wonderful month of November full of love and a feelings of gratefulness. Thank you for continuing to partner with us and help your child be the best version of themselves each and every day.
Partners in Education,
Mrs. Kiplin
Principal
Kobussen Bus Changes
We have an agreement with Kobussen that families will inform Kobussen of any changes in routes or additions to routes. An example of this would be if your child is going to ride the bus on a route with a friend and this is a different route than they typically would be on. This is due to space on the buses and to ensure all parties are aware.
Once you have called Kobussen (these do need to go through their main office), please let us know and we will then get bus slips to appropriate students. Kobussen can be reached at: (920) 722-8572 If you have any questions about this process, please call the Clayton Office.
All students are invited to bring one school snack each day. This snack is a home-provided snack that families can pack outside of a child's school lunch. A few things to note:
- Check with your child's teacher for peanut allergies to ensure that your child's classroom is not a Peanut Aware classroom.
- The time of snack is determined by the child's classroom teacher.
- Snacks should be packed outside of a child's cold/home lunch.
- If a child forgets a snack every now and then, we do have limited snacks we can provide on an "as needed" basis.
- If your family needs support with providing your child a snack from home, please reach out to Mrs. Jelinski, school counselor.
