Dear Chippewa Families,

Welcome to the 2024 - 2025 school year! We hope you had a wonderful summer filled with ample opportunities to create memories with family and friends. We will be kicking off the school year with our Kick Start on Thursday, August 15 from 9:00 - 2:00.

Kick Start is an informal time for students to tour the building. Parents/guardians are welcome to join. A packet will be addressed for each student which will include their class schedule and other important information. Locker assignments and combinations will be printed on the class schedule to provide students an opportunity to locate their locker.

Please note CMS does not incorporate school pictures at Kick Start. Picture day is scheduled for September 11.

If you are unable to attend August 15, your student’s packet will be available the first day of school. Lastly, please be reminded students can access their class schedule via PowerSchool on

August 13 at 5:00pm.

If you have driven by Chippewa this summer, you might be wondering things such as 'how do I drop off my child' and 'where will people park'. Yes, we are in full construction mode! The great news is our construction team is on or ahead of schedule for each project. They are scheduled to have the new drives completed by August 12. Once the drives are completed, we will create a video sharing parent drop off and pick up procedures, where to park when visiting CMS, bus loop, and entrance protocols for our walkers. Throughout the year, we will be adding opportunities for students to be involved in a plethora of extra curricular activities. Students will be notified of upcoming opportunities via Chipp Snips and daily announcements. In the fall, our CMS sponsored athletic programs include cross country and volleyball. All student athletes MUST have a current physical on file in the main office prior to tryouts.
