I hope this communication finds you all well and enjoying your weekend.

As we officially cross the 10% mark of the school year, I want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of daily attendance for your child's success in school. Especially for a Dual Language Immersion school such ours. Research shows that there is a direct correlation between regular attendance and academic achievement. When students miss school, they miss out on valuable instruction, opportunities for collaboration with classmates, and the chance to build a strong foundation of knowledge- especially in two languages.

I encourage you to make attendance a top priority for your child this year. By ensuring that they are present in class every day, you are setting them up for success and helping them reach their full potential. If your child is ever unable to attend school due to illness or other circumstances, please notify the school as soon as possible. We are just a phone call away for any questions.

Additionally, I want to remind you that our annual Back to School Night is this week. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet your child's teachers, learn about the curriculum and expectations for the year, and get involved in our Colibri community. Plus, you will fulfill one volunteer hour and secure a free dress day pass for your child. We look forward to welcoming you on 9/11 for 5th -8th and 9/12 for TK - 4th. Back to School Night is for parents only. Hope to see you there!
