National Latino - Hispanic Heritage Month
We are thrilled to announce the start of Hispanic Heritage Month! This is a special time of the year where we celebrate and honor the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities in the United States. This celebration runs from September 15th to October 15th, and it is an opportunity for all of us to embrace diversity, learn about different cultures, and appreciate the unique perspectives that enrich our school community.
Keep an eye on the activities that the Diversity club and the Spanish Teachers will be sharing during this time.
And, ... bye bye, adiós, adeus!
Parents/Caregivers wanted for MRHS School Council
We look to build a strong school advisory council this year to guide our important work. A school council is a representative, school building-based committee that meets quarterly and is composed of the principal, parents, teachers, community members, and students. School councils are to assist principals in:
- Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards
- Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school
- Reviewing the annual school building budget
- Formulating a school improvement plan
- Review the student handbook
If you are interested please send an email message to principal Jennifer Police at jpolice@monomoy.edu indicating your interest in serving on the school council.
