High Impact Tutoring at Grout for 2025-2026
Grout is excited to be included in High Impact Tutoring for the 2025-26 school year. Tutoring will be provided for qualifying students 3 times a week for 30 minutes during the school day in the “What I Need” or WIN time block. Reading is the foundation of all future learning for our students. This research-backed, proven strategy is a huge WIN for our students! Schools were selected by PPS based on reading scores for K-2 students and the number of students identified for additional support.
Free Screening of Disney's Out of My Mind!
PPS is hosting a series of events that focus on Belonging, Equity & Inclusive Practices where we will screen powerful, award winning documentaries that will stir, provoke, and challenge each of us about what is possible in the systems we create for our children with disabilities. Staff, Parents, Community are all invited.
The final screening for the year will be Out of My Mind on Saturday June 7th at Roosevelt High School.
Please help us spread the word!
Out of My Mind is a moving movie about Melody Brooks, a sixth grader with cerebral palsy, has a quick wit and a sharp mind, but because she is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair, she is not given the same opportunities as her classmates. When a young educator notices her student’s untapped potential and Melody starts to participate in mainstream education, Melody shows that what she has to say is more important than how she says it.
GSA Sticker Sale! (ends June 6)
June is Pride month and that is right around the corner! Please support our GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) by purchasing these stickers via SchoolPay. Profits will go directly to students for future meeting supplies, guests, and field trips. Each sticker is $1 or 8 stickers for $5.
Mr. Solitaria will process the orders and put them in the mailbox of your child's teacher within 2 week of your order. Email msolitaria@pps.net with any questions.
