PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
We hope this message finds you all in great spirits as we gear up for another fantastic school year! We wanted to take a moment to remind you that our eagerly anticipated "Kindergarten Playdate" is just around the corner. Mark your calendars for Monday, August 7th, as we welcome new families to our beloved Eagle Crest community. During this special event, our dedicated Kindergarten teachers and office staff will be on hand to connect with both new and returning families, fostering a warm and inclusive environment for everyone. Our wonderful PTO will provide coffee and share valuable information about upcoming school and community events.
The "Kindergarten Playdate" is a wonderful opportunity to embrace our school motto and vision: "We are leaders. We help build a better world." Together, we can instill these values in all of our students, ensuring they feel encouraged and inspired on their educational journey. We have some fun and exciting new ways we are building our curriculum this year to continue to expand on our Leadership theme. I look forward to sharing these with you as the year unfolds.
Additionally, as we embark on this new academic year, we are thrilled to welcome 5 new staff members who will be joining our school community. Each of them brings a unique blend of skills, expertise, passion for learning, and teaching, making them a perfect fit for our Eagle Crest family. Over the coming weeks, we'll be showcasing their profiles and giving you the chance to get to know them better through our weekly newsletter.
We sincerely hope you have an enjoyable weekend, full of excitement and anticipation for the upcoming school year. Let's make this year even more memorable, filled with growth, learning, and togetherness.
Warmly,
Amanda

DEAN OF STUDENT'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
I hope you all have had a fantastic summer! Personally, I had a busy July, spending most of it in Carbondale, CO, cherishing time with family and playing lots of tennis. While summer always seems to pass quickly, we are eager to welcome everyone back to the building for another great school year!
There is an important change I would like to share with you regarding breakfast and lunch for the upcoming school year. Proposition FF, approved by voters last November, will provide all students with complimentary breakfast and lunch at school! The only cost to families will be for students who choose to purchase seconds. If you wish to supplement your child's meal plan, you can send cash/check to our Kitchen or make a digital payment through RevTrak. And, of course, sending a packed lunch from home remains a welcomed choice.
Although lunch charges are no longer applicable, we kindly request that all families complete the Free & Reduced Fees Application. Beyond its benefits for your family, this application supports our school in securing funding, staffing, and reduced fees for field trips and programming. This application must be renewed each school year, enabling families to access reduced iPad Insurance, academic/athletic fees, and to qualify for discounts on utilities and services throughout the community.
Take a moment to apply for free & reduced fees today!
If you require assistance or prefer a paper application, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. You can find more information about our Nutrition Services department, the Free & Reduced Application, or Proposition FF on our district website.
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney
