St Elizabeth's News
NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 7 | 15 MARCH 2024
Last week, I attended the CEWA Early Childhood Conference with Miss Baxter, Mrs Preiato and Mrs O’Brien. It was a fabulous few days learning about the importance of early years education and the fact that play-based learning is vital in the development of young children. The conference also affirmed that the great learning environment and programs that we offer here at St Elizabeth’s are exactly what young people need!
A BIG congratulations to Mr Reberio on a wonderful Interhouse Swimming Carnival on Thursday. This was the second Swimming Carnival for St Elizabeth’s and the enjoyment and sportsmanship, along with some healthy competition, and ‘have-a-go' attitude by our Year Four to Six students was a pleasure to witness and I was proud of each and every one of them. Congratulations to our Champion and Runner-up boys and girls for each year level. Well done to Servite for winning the overall carnival and to MacKillop for taking home the Sportspersonship trophy. Thank you must go to our staff who, as always, go above and beyond to make these events a success and also to our parents and extended families, both helpers on the morning, and those cheering in the stands. Next week, a selected number of students will represent our school at the Interschool Swimming Carnival at HBF Stadium, Mt Claremont. We wish them all the best!
Good luck to all our dad’s or father figures as they embark on the ‘2024 Dad’s Camp Out’ tonight. I hope you all have a fabulous sleep over at the school! Thank you to the P&F for organising this great community building event and to Denis Sauzier, SLP Real Estate and Woolworths Hocking for sponsoring this event.
Finally, Happy St Patrick’s Day for Sunday! To all our families with an Irish connection, including my own, I hope you have a lovely day!
God bless
Rebecca Clarke
