Dear LHS Families:

After 5th and 6th exams today, Semester 2 started. If your student(s) missed one of their exams, please be sure that they talk to their teacher in the affected class.

As we mentioned in last week’s newsletter, please encourage your student(s) to dress warmly and in layers during these cold winter months. It is not uncommon for a building of our size to have significant temperature fluctuations, especially during extreme weather patterns.

Tomorrow our Link Crew leaders, along with Ignite Nation, will be spending the day, after 2nd hour, with all 9th graders to attend a Power Within Training. Our Link Crew leaders have been already been visiting our 9th grade Splitter Times and leading lessons this year - so this larger whole group activity is sure to be a success. Please be sure to remind your 9th grader to leave their backpacks at home tomorrow, as they will not need them. Additionally, students will not be permitted to use their cell phones during the event, only during their lunch period time. Please see THIS for more information.

Of note:

1) Students applying for Careers in Education, Cosmetology or Health Science must also submit a Parent/Guardian Approval Form. Those can be found here: https://www.salineschools.org/schools/high-school-9-12/swwc/information/forms--applications/

2) Students applying for the Work-Based Learning program must complete the application as well as the specific Work-Based Learning Application.

3) Students applying for a 2nd year of a program they are currently enrolled in must complete the Lincoln SWWC Application. Second-year sports are limited and placement will be based on teacher recommendation and available seats beyond first year allocations.

Tickets for all athletic events are found online through Go Fan by searching "Lincoln" at www.gofan.co. Family passes available too, and seniors 62 and over get in for free with a valid ID!
