HMS Weekly Update

Week of January 27, 2025
Dear Ranger Families,
In this edition of our Weekly Update, you will find some additional information regarding the Hearts Aglow dance that is sponsored by the HTHS Band Parents. Please take the time to read the Attendance Guidelines. There is also a $5 charge at the door.
Our 8th grade students will be visiting the Career Center on Tuesday, January 28th. If you have not seen a permission slip from your 8th grade student, please be sure to ask them for it! We would love for all of our 8th graders to attend.
Tuesday is also Military Appreciation night at our HTHS Boys Basketball game. Additional information regarding that even is found below and on our website.

Military Appreciation Night
Come and support those who have served our country and our HT military families during the boys basketball game at the high school. Click the picture for more details.
Hearts Aglow Dance Party
The Hearts Aglow Dance Party will be held Friday, February 7th. The HTHS Band Parents are in charge of this dance.
Please be sure to review the Attendance Guidelines for the dance.
Teachers of the Week
Mrs. Reed - 8th Grade Health
Ms. Reed teaches 8th Grade Health and went to The Ohio State University. This is her first year teaching. Ms. Reed knew she wanted to be a teacher since she was in the 1st grade. Welcome Ms. Reed!
Mrs. Swank - 7th Grade ELA Inclusion
Mrs. Swank is in 7th grade ELA Inclusion. She received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Grand Canyon University. Mrs. Swank started at Hamilton in 2011 as an Educational Aide while pursuing a teaching degree. This is her third year as an Intervention Specialist at Hamilton, 13th year if you count her years as an Educational Aide. Her family loves traveling to the beach, especially Panama City Beach, Florida. They are hoping to go back next summer.
PAST Foundation- Summer Programs
It may be cold outside, but it's a great time to start thinking of summer programming!
Registration for PAST Summer 2025 Programs will open on January 25th, 2025.
The PAST Foundation Summer STEM programs give students an opportunity to experience and apply education in real world settings.
We would love to see some of our students participate in these exciting programs!
Military Family Identifier Survey
Please fill out only 1 per Family. This form is from the Parent/Guardian perspective. We are looking for immediately family members that live in your home, or recently have lived in your home (older children), not distant relatives or grandparents. We appreciate ALL military service, but for the purpose of this survey, we are restricting it to Parents/Guardians of students in our District, and siblings to those students.
