Hello everyone and welcome to the month of April!
We hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter break filled with time with family and friends.
It is hard to believe that we have approximately 60 days left in the school year! This year has really flown by and we can’t thank all of you enough for all of your support and encouragement as we have navigated this school year.
Please have a look at the important dates coming up, as we do have an early dismissal and a PD day this month. We would also encourage you to pack extra clothes for the upcoming weeks for your child, as the field where students play does accumulate large amounts of puddles.

Important Information
Pre-K / Kindergarten Registration
Success Starts Early! Battle River School Division is accepting registrations for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten as of Feb. 1, 2024. Register your Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten student early to start school with BRSD for the 2024-25 school year.

PARENT PORTAL AND PERMISSION FORMS INFORMATION
Reminder that all of our forms are now online. This includes permission forms for field trips, sports, clubs, etc. If you have not signed up or into the portal yet, please visit this website: https://brsd.powerschool.com/public/home.html

Reminder to complete the School Verification form on SchoolEngage . Parents can confirm contact numbers and information for students.
Real Time Reporting
École Sifton School is moving towards Real Time Reporting (RTR) which means no more paper copy report cards. You will have access to your child’s attendance and grades in real time on an app on your phone or through the online login on your computer.
Art Club
Reminder that Art Club for our Grade 3, 4 & 5 run on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 3:25-4:45.
Grade 1 & 2- Due to high demand we have had to divide the group. Please see the dates below:

Parent Council Update
Spring Plant Fundraiser!
Our spring plant fundraiser is back! There is a wide selection of beautiful outdoor plants available. All ordering and payments must be done through the fundraising website. Please click on the link below to get started.
Order deadline is April 22.
Plant pick up will happen on May 7 & 8 from 3-5 pm.
A reminder that an account has been opened at the bottle depot where families can drop off bottles any time, and the funds can go towards the school. Ask to donate them to "Sifton School Parent Council" when you drop them off.
Hot Lunch Fridays
Hot Lunch is available to order for students in Grades 1 - 5.
If you have ordered hot lunch and you child is absent, their lunch will be donated unless you contact the school by 12:00pm to make other arrangements. Unfortunately we can not offer refunds for any reason. Thank you for your understanding.
Ordering for April hot lunch was open from March 15 - 26, and is now closed.
Ordering for May hot lunch will be open online from April 15 - 26
