Garden Club
The students will learn about gardening, pruning, mulching and composting. This year a master gardener has volunteered to work with us. The students in the club will also be instrumental in helping to maintain the school garden so that all classes will be able to enjoy the garden.

Art Club will be a chance for students to dive deeper into their artistic abilities and learn more about different art forms and techniques with various mixed media projects.

Ms. Smith is looking for fabulous 4th and 5th grade students to join the Trip chorus! We will be singing and moving to all kinds of music! The Rockin' Rams will learn a variety of vocal techniques and how to sing in a group setting, all while having a fun and enjoyable musical experience! We will perform at least two concerts during the year at Trip and will have the opportunity to showcase our talents out in the community, as well! If you like to sing and dance, then Rockin' Rams is the club for you!

The Francophonie and Multicultural Club
The Francophonie and Multicultural Club will promote the French language and Francophonie culture through social and service activities. We will build an awareness and an appreciation for diversity and to establish lifelong leadership skills for celebrating diversity.
Some social activities involve making arts and crafts, Bûche de Noël (Yule cake) during the holidays, French movie night, Cheese-tasting, etc. We will fundraise to offset the cost of some of our activities. Come check us out!

Do you like to do DIY projects, try new food, and learn new life skills? Well look no further because my club provides an opportunity for ages k-2. Let’s put those creative minds of yours to work making food with artistic twist. Picture this, working with like-minded kids making cool tie dye shirts/tote bag/socks, creating your own jewelry(bracelet, necklace), and understanding how to manage your money on a regular basis. They are kids that's for sure, but they are the tomorrow’s adults who will keep those skills for life. Come and have fun!

Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run inspires individuals of all abilities to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. Together, they experience a sense of belonging and connection as a team. Volunteer coaches facilitate lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. At the end of the season, the team completes a Community Impact Project and a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion.

Number of Students: Girls on the Run is committed to having small teams with low coach to participant ratios. Having strong relationships between teammates and coaches is a core part of our program. Teams are capped at 20 participants.

Kindness Squad
The purpose of The Kindness Squad is to support the people in our community through acts of kindness. The Kindness Squad promotes leadership, empathy, relationships, and positive character traits.

Who: First - Fifth Grade,15 Students Maximum. Students who are interested should get a form from Mrs. Hicks to complete. Three students from each grade level will be chosen as Kindness Ambassadors. If spots are not filled, additional students from grade levels will be chosen. Applications should be submitted by September 5th to Mrs. Hicks.

Trip Elementary Lego Robotics Team

Trip Drama Team
The Trip 5th Grade Drama Team is an after-school team that meets one day a week on Wednesdays after until 4:30 to practice a full-length play production. Unlike other clubs at Trip ES, you cannot simply sign up for this team on MyPayments Plus. Students must first audition for the Team and be selected to then join as members. Only 50 students can be selected each year. After auditions, when all 50 members have been invited to join the Drama Team, parents will then visit MPP to pay a $25 Materials Fee. This is to cover the cost of t-shirts, field trips, buses, props, etc. for the play production. If this is a financial hardship for your family, scholarships are available. Please contact Mrs. Grubbs personally at Leslie.grubbs@gcpsk12.org to let her know if this would be helpful to your family. A letter will be going out soon to all 5th grade students with dates and information about a Zoom Meeting for interested students and parents, auditions, and our first meeting dates.

The Trip Peer Leadership Program is a program designed to build leadership and social skills in upper grade students as well as aid students who may be having difficulty with academics.
