Summer Appy Hour
Anytime! Anywhere!
Join us as we embark on an online educational journey.....
This online course will introduce educators to content creation iPad apps as well as a variety of Web tools as they collaborate, exchange files, and ultimately build an ePortfolio. ePortfolios will include lesson plans, project plans, and corresponding work samples connected to common core standards. The course will begin with a F2F meeting to setup initial online accounts, install required iPad apps, and review course expectations and requirements. Participants will be exposed to various technology tools as they utilize the cloud to access resources while creating content related exemplars for sharing technology with their students and colleagues. These tools may include podcasts (audio files) & vidcasts/vodcasts (movie files), screencasting for flipping the classroom, alternative assessments, making movies, video conferencing, and more. Participants will need access to an iPad, appropriate apps, and a laptop to take this course.
One F2F meeting followed by online collaboration from anywhere in the world.
After our first face to face meeting on Monday, June 24 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, at the high school, we can collaborate and share from anywhere in the world, at home on the couch, the French Riviera, a local coffee shop with wifi, etc. For our first meeting we will most likely meet in the library conference room.
Got iPad?
Apps purchased for personally owned iPads will not be provided by the district or the high school. However, school iPads can be signed out for use during this course.
