Happy February! The year is moving right along and the students are doing a fantastic job. We have had a fun start to the 2025 school year. We were excited to celebrate PK Project Day and 1st Grade Poetry Café on February 4th. We had a ton of parents come out and support our students!

In February, we will celebrate many important events at Emery and I wanted to share all the great happenings. We will have our Annual Valentine's Card Exchange on February 13th. The students will exchange Valentine Cards but there will not be a party. To end the month, we will have our Western Day Rodeo Dance on February 28th during large group times.

There will be no school on February 14th and 17th due to a Student Holiday. Please enjoy the time off with your family!!

Also, this month our PTO will be starting a fundraiser so please read below to find out about the awesome details. Thanks so much for supporting our amazing PTO! Please remember school starts at 8:15am each day so make sure your child arrives early enough to get breakfast and walk to their classrooms so they are ready to start the day on time. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Feliz febrero! Seguimos el año escolar y los alumnos siguen haciendo un trabajo fantástico. El principio del año escolar 2025 ha sido muy divertido. Fue muy emocionante celebrar el día del proyecto de Prekínder y el Café de Poetria de primer grado el 4 de febrero. Muchas gracias a todos los padres que estuvieron aquí apoyando a los alumnos!

En febrero estaremos celebrando muchos eventos importantes en Emery y me gustaría compartir todas las cosas emocionantes. Tendremos el intercambio anual de tarjetas de San Valentín el 13 de febrero. No habrá fiesta pero los alumnos pero podrán intercambiar sus tarjetas de San Valentín. Al finales del mes, tendremos el Baile del Rodeo de Vaqueros el 28 de febrero durante el horario de grupos.

No tendremos clase ni el 14 o el 17 de febrero por que son días festivos. Por favor disfrute del tiempo libre con su familia!!

También, este mes nuestro PTO empezara una recaudación de fondos, por favor lea lo siguiente para más detalles. Muchas gracias por todo su apoyo hacia el maravilloso PTO de Emery! Recuerde que las clases empiezan a las 8:15am cada día, asegúrese de que llegue a tiempo para que desayune en su salón y que estén listos para empezar el día. Parent/Family Visitor Lunch Expectations

• Please stay seated with your child at the designated family tables during your lunch visit (near the windows and/or stage depending on the grade level).
• You are only allowed to eat lunch with your child (not any of their friends)
• You are only allowed to feed your child (not any of their friends)
• When Silent 5 begins at the end of the lunch period, please say goodbye and send your student back to their class table so they can be dismissed with their class.

Expectativas Para los Padres/Familia Para la Hora Del Almuerzo

SOLO tenemos visita de almuerzo los lunes y viernes

• Por favor de sentarse en las mesas designadas para la visita (cerca de las ventanas o escenario dependiendo del grado escolar)
• Solo se le permite almorzar con su hijo (no con alguno de sus amigos).
• Solo se le permite alimentar a su hijo (no a alguno de sus amigos).
• Cuando empiece el silencio de 5 minutos es porque su almuerzo terminó. Puede despedirse de su hijo y necesita regresar a la mesa asignada de su salón y así poder regresar juntos con su clase.

If you would like to drop off a medication for your child, please call the clinic to schedule an appointment at 281-855-9026.

Si desea dejar algún medicamento para su hijo, por favor llame a la enfermera de la escuela al 281-855-9026 para agendar una cita.

A parent/guardian MUST bring and sign in ANY medication into the clinic. This includes creams, cough drops, inhalers, and other medications. Students may NOT bring it to school in their backpack.

Prescriptions must be within date and have the student’s full name.

If it is an over-the-counter medication such as cough drops, Benadryl, Tylenol, it MUST be a brand new, UNOPENED bottle/bag.

El padre o tutor legal DEBE traer y firmar por CUALQUIER medicamento que quiera en la enfermería. Esto incluye cremas, pastillas para la tos, inhaladores, y otros medicamentos. Los estudiantes NO DEBEN traer medicamento en la mochila.

Our next PTO General Meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 7th at 4:15 PM in the Emery Library. Children are welcome to attend as long as they are respectful during the meeting, and Light snacks will be provided to keep everyone refreshed.

Valentine's Candy Grams are Coming!

From February 5th to 13th, students can purchase a candy gram and have it delivered to their friend, teacher, or staff member. Candy grams will be available for purchase in the cafeteria during lunch.

If you would like to order candy grams from home, scan the qr code, download the form, and send it to the school with payment marked Emery PTO.

🗓 Reunión General del PTO

The Emery Elementary Annual Western Day will be held on February 28, 2025 in the school cafeteria during your childs large group time. Your child will be performing line dances that they have been working extremely hard on over the past 4 weeks.

Performance times for your child are listed below:

3rd Grade: 9:05 – 10:00am

4th Grade: 10:00 – 10:55am

5th Grade: 10:55 – 11:50am

1st Grade: 12:35 – 1:30pm

2nd Grade: 1:30 – 2:25pm

Kindergarten: 2:25 – 3:20pm

Please remember students from other campuses or that were checked out early will not be allowed on Campus for Western Day per CFISD Guidelines. All visitors must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian and have photo ID.

We are asking for no lunch visitors on this day because students will be eating in their classrooms. Students may dress in western clothing, no guns or spurs please! Come dance with your kids and have fun!
