Hi everyone. I’m Ms. Hurst, and I am honored and grateful to be recognized as Upper Campus’ Teacher of the Year. I was born and raised in New Orleans, a city that has shaped me with its vibrant culture and sense of community. I love good food, great people, cookbooks, horror films, documentaries, and most importantly, spending time with my daughter. I consider myself a lifelong learner who’s always curious and eager to explore new ideas and grow personally and professionally. I deeply value kindness and connection and I do my best to bring these values into the classroom every day. I enjoy bonding with my students, helping them build confidence, and watching them grow and overcome challenges. I am grateful for how much Rosemont and its community has embraced me. Every day, I am motivated by the dedication and resilience I see in my fellow teachers.
