Ribbon Cutting and Open House at Hadley Junior High
District 41 celebrated the completion of the referendum construction across the district with a ribbon cutting and open house of the new Hadley Junior High School addition on Monday, August 26. In 2017, the community approved a $24.2 million referendum to remove portable classrooms, enhance safety and address infrastructure needs across the district. Thank you to the community for supporting these needed improvements. The projects were completed on time and within budget!
Choose to Include #District4every1
District 41 has spent the past several years becoming more strategically focused on embracing and educating about inclusion throughout the district. Going into the third year of the special education strategic plan, which includes comprehensive professional development on inclusion, the district announced the 2019/2020 theme "Choose to Include." The message is being spread through a variety of ways including "Choose to Include" t-shirts worn by all staff on the first day of school, sharing out the message in the community and on social media #District4every1, activities in the schools, and continuing professional development throughout the school year.
D41 is committed to the following inclusionary practices:
1. viewing every child as a general education student.
2. developing a continuum of services that is driven by
individual student strengths and needs.
3. creating a culture that develops a sense of belonging for
all diverse learners.
4. assuring shared ownership by every educator for every
student.
5. respecting every student’s strengths and needs.
6. presuming competence for each student.
7. engaging in collaborative problem-solving to develop,
challenge, and accommodate all learners.
