Message from Mrs. Rodriguez - Your Principal
Hello Simpson Seahawk Family!
Join me in thanking all of our Simpson Teachers & Staff this week! We will be celebrating Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week! Our team at Simpson works very hard for our students and community everyday! This is our chance to show them how much we appreciate all that they do everyday!
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will continue with their CAASPP state assessments. Please be sure that your student comes to school on time everyday during CAASPP testing. Below you will see the schedule for testing. It is very important that your student goes to bed early, eats a healthy breakfast, and comes to school on time everyday. This will enusre that they will be able to take their test with their own teacher and classmates.
I want to remind parents about the importance of completing the Online Registration on ParentVue for your students. It is important to complete this in order to ensure a spot for your student next year here at Simpson. This also ensures that we will continue to provide the Universal Breakfast & Lunch Program in our school. Please complete it this week. If you have any questions, please call the front office. Clich here to login: ParentVue Login
On May 9 at 10:00 a.m. (Spanish) and 5:00 p.m. (English) our school district will be hosting the Dual Immersion Recruitment & Informational Meeting for parents who are interested in enrolling their incoming Kinder student. We will be offering our new program at Simpson Elementary School. Next year is our first year implementing our new Dual Immersion Program in kindergarten! Please see the information below along with the Google Meet Link.
I want to remind families that I maintain an open door policy, meet with parents on a daily basis, and am actively on ParentSquare if you ever have any concerns or questions.
Let’s remember to always Dream Big & Aim High!
Respectfully,
Mrs. Ramona Rodriguez

Dismissal will take place at the South Parking lot - parents will need to park.
Our Recess Upgrade has been a great success for our school. We have dramatically decreased the number of injuries and conflicts out on the playground at recess time. We have added various games & activities and plan to add more. Thank you for your support!

News From Our Health Office
With the change of weather, please consider dressing your students in layers to accommodate the daily changing temperature and to label items with their name so if it is misplaced it can be returned to the student.
Encourage students to drink plenty of water (for instance, a 50 lb student would need a minimum of 25 ounces of water daily!).
With cold and flu season around the corner, please remind students to wash their hands before and after eating, after playing outside, and after coughing, sneezing, or touching their face. If you are in need of any assistance with keeping your student healthy, please contact the Health Office.
