WHAT'S NEW?
Interim of 3rd Quarter
Yes, we are already halfway through the 3rd quarter! Time will continue to fly by for us, and we'll officially wrap up the 3rd Quarter on March 14th.
This is a great time for all of us to keep an eye on students' grades and for you to reach out to your students' teachers with any questions or concerns! We'll be at Spring Break soon, and State of Ohio End of Course Testing is on the horizon as well!
Future Ready Scheduling Fair: This Thursday, February 20th
Our Future-Ready Scheduling Fair is back again this year! This is the opportunity for you and your student to meet with teachers, administrators, and our counselor to explore course options (AND MORE!) for the 2025-2026 school year! You do not want to miss it! Here are the details:
4:30: Doors open for families
4:45: Future Freshmen: 8th Grade Transition Meeting (in Cafeteria) - Option 1
6:00: Future Freshmen: 8th Grade Transition Meeting (in Cafeteria) - Option 2
6:45: CCP Informational Session
7:30: End of Future Ready Scheduling Fair
The scheduling fair will include:
- An open fair-type atmosphere for students and families to talk with teachers and learn more about course options for 25-26
- An opportunity for parents/guardians to talk with their students about their schedule for 25-26
- For Seniors: Representatives from various local scholarships will be on hand to share information about their offers
- We are hoping to get recruiters from various armed forces branches on hand too
- FOOD!
And yes! This is all free for all families!
Finally: Next Monday, February 24th, teachers will be available (by phone or Google Meet) for an extra hour after school (2:15pm - 3:15pm) for any traditional parent/teacher conferences needed. Please feel free to reach out to your students' teachers with any scheduling questions or other concerns you may have.
Scheduling for 2025-2026
Starting last week, students have been learning more about the state (more info here) and CNE District graduation requirements, taking a career path survey, and starting to learn more about course offerings for next year.
This coming Tuesday, students will begin a rough draft for the courses they'd like to take for the 2025-2026 school year, and Thursday will be your chance to meet with teachers to learn more about these courses at our Scheduling Fair (see details below). Teachers have also been talking with students in their classes about course options for the 25-26 school year, and please reach out to teachers with any questions you may have. Our 2025-2026 Course Guide will also be available on Thursday!
Our student scheduling day is set for March 6th. On that day, students will work to select their final choices for classes for next school year!
ACT for Juniors: February 26th
The State of Ohio provides a free ACT for our juniors, and this year it is set for February 26th. Please check out this letter from Ms. Posey for more information!
In Case You Missed It
LinkedUp Community Partnership Opportunity
A couple of months ago, we shared out preliminary information regarding "LinkedUp," a partnership between CNE HS and the Hamilton County Educational Service Center. This partnership provides students with opportunities to connect with outside, private sector work-based learning opportunities. More specifically, students will have access to various educational and career-related experiences based on their individual career interests through a central link application system.
LinkedUp is ready to take the next step in this process, and that includes having our students/families sign up to be part of this partnership. Please use this link to sign up your student for this opportunity!
Counselor's Corner🎓

Senior Section
Before break, we had a Senior Class meeting during WIN bell. If you (or your senior) missed it, here is a link to the slide deck that Ms. Posey shared during that meeting.
Please check this link on a regular basis for all updates concerning Class of 2025 announcements and activities!
