Masked Reader Reveal
It was a hugely exciting week for us as we detectivised our way through a whole pile of clues to work out who our 'masked readers' were. Thank you to Ms. Rowsell, Ms. Angi, and our wonderful masked readers for their amazing work - the literacy energy was unbelievable.
School Cleanup
A huge thank you to our fabulous Grade 2's for organizing such a wonderful clean up at the school - the place looks fantastic. Thank you for taking such good care of our environment.
Djembe Drumming!
Bussing Safety Reminders / Portal Changes
We wanted to let you know that there have been a few changes to the bus portal starting on May 30th. Please see the attached memo for further details.
Grade 6's to Paradise on Municipal Day!
Speed in the Parking Lot
Please be aware that we have had a few close calls with cars speeding around the back of the building after dropping off their students. Please be aware that we do have students and educators who use the side and rear access to the school. Please drive slowly around these areas due to the low visibility. A reminder that we do encourage all of our parents to use the supervised drop off in the Kiss and Ride where possible.

Tips for Anxious Kids
Supporting Kids with Anxiety: 5 Tips for Parents
Anxiety in children is more common than many realize, and school can sometimes be a major source of stress. Here are five practical tips to help support your child:
-
Listen Without Judgement
Encourage your child to talk about their worries. Validate their feelings without immediately trying to "fix" the problem—just listening can make a big difference. -
Establish Predictable Routines
Daily routines help reduce uncertainty and give children a sense of control. Keep morning, after-school, and bedtime routines as consistent as possible. -
Teach Coping Skills
Introduce simple techniques like deep breathing, mindfulness, or using a “worry box” to help children manage anxious thoughts. -
Avoid Avoidance
It’s natural to want to protect your child from anxiety-provoking situations, but avoidance can make anxiety stronger. Encourage gradual exposure with reassurance and support. -
Partner with the School
Keep open communication with teachers or school counsellors. They can often provide accommodations or support strategies during the school day.

Year Book Information
Orders are Open!!
Notes for Next Year
Believe it, or not, we are at the time of year when we are beginning to look at the building set up for next year. We will often have requests from parents regarding classes or teachers for the upcoming year. Please be aware that our educators are fantastic professionals, and that a huge amount of hard work goes into developing class lists. As such, we are likely unable to accommodate individual class requests for students.
Allergy Information
Please be aware that we have severe allergies to the following products at the school:
Nuts, Tree Nuts, Peanuts (please do not bring Wowbutter or similar products either)
Sesame Seeds (often found in burger buns or hummus)
Fish, Shellfish
Visible Egg (often found in Breakfast Sandwiches)
