Dear Steindorf Families,

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! We are so excited to welcome our Steindorf scholars to campus and kickstart our year of learning and growth. I know I am a new name and face on campus but am excited to meet you all. This year marks my 12th year as a school principal, 25th year as a public educator, and 1st year as the Steindorf Principal. As a former middle and high school science teacher, I am especially looking forward to all the ‘ah-ha’ moments that result from students thinking critically, with curiosity and wonder.

Our Steindorf Staff has been busy preparing to open our doors for the first day of school. We have been working tirelessly to prepare our learning spaces, spending time building community, and welcoming our new staff members:

Thank you to everyone for continuing to help keep all of our students safe on their way to and home from school. Please continue to follow all of the parking lot safety measures to ensure all of our students and families are safe.

PLEASE note that there are good reasons for our parking lot rules and your actions affect those around and behind you.

The far right lane is for drop off/pick up only. You must pull all the way forward until you reach the colored gates before letting your students out. Please do not let your students out of the vehicle in front of the office. When cars stop, it causes traffic problems getting into the parking lot from Ross and at the intersection of Ross and Foxworthy. This is putting students and families who walk, scooter and bike to school at a much higher risk. The gates by the main office are only for students arriving to school on bikes and scooters so they are able to access the bike racks currently located in the back of the school.

*NOTE: The city has installed a "Right Turn Only During School Hours" sign at the exit of our parking lot. This is now enforceable by police. TURNING LEFT OR TRYING TO GO STRAIGHT is a danger to our students. Especially those crossing in the crosswalk across the street. Please only turn right.
